Loved our stay at Mainstone! Stunning views over the river. A wonderfully clean room. The breakfast was delicious, but the bathroom was a bit small. Can't wait to come back!

the mainstone offers stunning views from the double room overlooking the river. it’s just a few minutes across the bridge from the town, making it perfect for evenings out. the lovely hosts served a delicious breakfast and made us feel right at home.

The brekkie was proper lekker and filling, we loved the cosy vibe and the stunning view from our room over the river. The hosts were super friendly, they made us feel at home right away, even offered us tea on arrival!

The bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze, but we managed just fine.

The bathroom basin was uncomfortably small and awkwardly positioned under a wall cupboard, making everyday tasks a bit of a challenge. The breakfast menu leaned heavily towards meaty options, which left limited choices for vegetarians and vegans. It would have been great to have bedside lamps for better reading light since the overhead lights were overly bright, but this didn’t stop us from enjoying our time.

We are warmly welcomed at the door and shown to our beautifully appointed double room, featuring a huge and comfortable bed with charming decor. The location is fantastic, being just a short stroll to the lively town centre with various shops and restaurants, and it's only a 20-minute walk to the beach along the quayside, offering a pleasant experience. Breakfast is a highlight, with a good selection of cereals and fresh fruit served hot in the sunlit dining area.

The bathroom layout feels a bit cramped, which might be a concern for some guests.

Super comfy double room with amazing river views. Amenities galore! Loved the flat-screen TV, fridge stocked with drinks, and tea/coffee setup. Shower was great. The free toiletries were a nice touch. Perfect location close to the harbor. Hosts were super nice and even offered us tea and cakes on arrival.
